Happy Birthday Toddy!

Todd's 18th Birthday was last Friday and Debbie arranged great fun for him!

First off she arranged for Todd to attend a practice of the Blue Thunder Marching Band. Holy Cow! Those people work hard. Todd was describing what they were doing and it was as if Todd was speaking a foreign language. And the drum line? Awesome! Todd got to meet Dr. Wells (the Director guy) who wished him a Happy Birthday and told him to apply/tryout as soon as possible. Good luck!

Then it was Grandpa's Chili at Lynda's (where Todd napped)...

supporting Taush at the State Swim Meet (Go my favorite sports team! Go!)....

then Boondocks!

Where we rode go karts...

Todd played his first round of mini-golf ever
(word of advice Todd, don't listen to Ranee, she totally cheats at mini-golf)...

And played a few rounds of Laser Tag!

Then back to Lynda's for Deep Fried Oreos (of course!)
And a late night of doing what we enjoy the most...spending time with those we love.

Happy 18th Todd!

All That Jazz!

On October 17th & 18th I was privileged to be a chaperone for the Mountain View High School, Premiere Jazz Choir for their trip to the Swing 'n Dixie Jazz Jamboree (aka Sun Valley Jazz Festival). The music was absolutely fantastic!

And the weather couldn't be any more perfect for the middle of October in Sun Valley. As you can see.

Here's a little teaser of a jazz performance by Tausha singing "Wouldn't It Be Loverly". It was performed at the Sun Valley Lodge during "Solos Night".

You can find more video performances at my YouTube website: http://www.youtube.com/snowflakethedog

Wish you all could come to Tausha's performances. But I will try to post them on YouTube if I get a video clip.

Ranee's Birthday... Yesterday

37 years ago Grandma Ev flew through a blizzard for (in Grandma's words) "The Most Beautiful Baby On Earth"! When Dad went to pick her up at the airport Grandma's scarf flew away. Grandma reported the snow was 10 feet deep in spots.

Looking at this photo now I can see how Ranee's favorite color is Red. Doesn't she look absolutely adorable?

Mom claims Ranee was the best baby ever. We all know that's because mom sat Ranee in front of the TV. Hey, it worked! Kept Ranee quiet and (added bonus) Ranee is now the GO TO person whenever anyone needs random tv/movie trivia questions answered!

We LOVE YOU RANEE!

ps - we miss you grandma..... and mom...

O & Deep Fried Oreos

While in Vegas we all decided to take in a show. We saw O at Bellagio on Friday night. We've linked the trailer, if you'd like to see a bit of it. Click "Watch the Trailer". We had "wet" seats which meant we got sprinkled with water at times.

Reviews/favorite parts:

Debbie - a delightful feast for the eyes and then also absolutely spectacular.
Ranee - the Russian Swing is hands-down my favorite part!
Jon - the Wedding/Russian Swing
Tara - the Wedding/Russian Swing
Tyson - simply stunning.
Kendra - the clowns and the "aye, aye, aye" (said in a raspy voice) are my favorite part.
Collin - huge, stunning, crazy, lots going on. Fantastico!
Hunter - it was awesome and I love the part at the beginning where you don't know and then he flies up to the ceiling.

On Saturday we went down to Freemont Street to get some Deep Fried Oreos. Yum!

Kendra's Baptism

Today Kendra was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She looked beautiful and content. She was baptized by Elder Cook from New Hampshire. Tara and Jon were the pianist and chorister. Tara offered the opening prayer. Debbie spoke about the Holy Ghost and Tyson offered the closing prayer. Congratulations Kendra!
