There are so many things to love about Hunter...his inquisitive mind, his desire to learn absolutely EVERYTHING, his ability to have fun at anything he does...
..but mostly I love that he can make me smile - always. Happy Birthday to one of the awesomest kids alive.
Hunter definitely makes me laugh! He KNOWS he is different and doesn't try to justify anything. Today, as we left for church, Collin had his socks, shoes and belt in hand. He threw them in the back seat where Hunter was waiting. I was waiting in the driver's seat. Off we went, on our way to church. Hunter was reading to me from one of his favorite books, the dictionary, trying to pronounce one of the longest words in the english language. He then proceeded to tell me what it meant. We get to church, which isn't all that far away, I back into a parking spot, look at Hunter and Hunter says to me, "Where's Collin?" I said, "What??? What do you MEAN where's Collin?" He said, "He's not here." For a split seccond I thought that Hunter had done the impossible - perfected the art of teleportation... WITHOUT the need of a huge dematerialization machine! Then I said, "Why didn't you say anything before now?" Hunter said, "I don't know... I just had my eyes closed and I was in dream land." To which I began to laugh because it is SO TRUE! So often, he is quite literally off in his own little world, thinking of grandiose things! :)
